Where to Book (and Impress) This Mother’s Day
There are gifts — and then there’s time well spent. Preferably with Champagne, fresh crayfish, or a set menu so perfectly plated it feels like a tribute. This Mother's Day, Commercial Bay’s culinary favourites are doing what they do best: turning a table booking into something unforgettable.
Here’s where to book, impress, and maybe earn favourite child status.
Advieh
Mother’s Day Banquet Menu
If Mum’s idea of being spoiled sounds more like ‘banquets and bubbles’ than breakfast in bed, make your way to Advieh. Their specially curated banquet menu is a celebration of bold, beautiful flavours — think grilled whole flounder with red pepper zhoug and Turkish butter, slow-cooked organic chicken with vine leaf gremolata and cauliflower tabbouleh, and a Persian-spiced carrot cake with sheep’s yoghurt and burnt pineapple.
Choose from two tiers of set menus to suit your style, or opt for à la carte if Mum prefers to pick her favourites. Every mother will be welcomed with a glass of Monmousseau Crémant Rosé, and gifted something special from Byredo to take home.
Plus, every table will be entered into the draw to win a luxurious staycation at InterContinental Auckland with exclusive access to Club InterContinental.

The Lodge
Mother's Day Pairing
For the mum who’s all class (and partial to seafood), The Lodge is serving up the Royale treatment — literally. Fresh crayfish grilled over coals is paired with Rodd & Gunn’s Royale, a sparkling wine with white peach and a fine brioche finish. Think crisp acidity cutting through sweet, delicate flesh.
It’s understated indulgence with a view, and you can still order from the full à la carte menu. But really, when there’s crayfish on the table, what else do you need?

Origine
Mother's Day Set Menu
Classic, considered, and a little bit opulent — Origine is serving a set menu this Mother’s Day that’s as refined as it is generous. Start with freshly shucked oysters or a blue cod vol-au-vent (with pāua, no less), before moving through delicate agnolotti or kingfish with nashi and spanner crab rillette.
The main event is either braised lamb with black garlic butter or sole Grenobloise, with sides straight from the Ahi garden. A rosewater-kissed chocolate éclair finishes it all with a flourish. Choose two or three courses, but either way, make it long.

Kome
The $69 Shared Menu
Simple, satisfying and full of flavour — Kome’s $69 set menu is made for sharing. Edamame and kimchi to start, followed by premium sashimi, fresh oysters, fireballs (yes, really), wings or tempura, and a choice of soy chicken or katsu.
There’s a complimentary drink with every set (sake, wine, mocktail or beer — your call) and plenty to keep the conversation flowing. Available at dinnertime only, so bring the group and toast to her good taste.

Gochu
Mother's Day Set Menu
Gochu is leaning into the love with a $75 set menu that hits all the right notes — crispy pork seaweed rolls, avocado mustard crudo, and lamb rump with smoked romesco are just the beginning. There’s black garlic butter on the potatoes, Champagne in every mum’s glass, and a Polaroid photo to remember it all by.
There’s also a limited à la carte menu, for those who prefer to freestyle. But if you ask us, the set menu is where the heart is.

Cāntīng
Mother's Day Bottomless Brunch Yum Cha
This is for the Mums who love a party. Cāntīng’s Mother's Day Yum Cha is bottomless in all the right ways: prosecco, peach Bellinis, spicy lychee margaritas, and their signature yuzu lager. The food? Dim sum, crowd-fave starters, and a hero main with luxe upgrades like black cod if you're feeling fancy. Kids are welcome too, with bottomless sodas and their own set menu.
Perfect for a group, a few giggles, and a day that doesn’t take itself too seriously.
